Experimental Audio Tour Proposal

For my audio tour I will be digging deep into Reno's crime history to provide an immersive audio experience at one of our city's most infamous arson locations.

Proposal

As an extension of one of my previous photography art projects ("Reno Tragedies"), I intend to create a unique audio tour of a crime that occurred at 214 North Lake Street in Reno, Nevada. This location, formerly known as the Mizpah Hotel, is the site of our city's worst case of arson that sent shockwaves throughout the community on October 31, 2006.

Using recovered police reports, fire/EMT radio transcripts, and eye-witness interviews, this audio tour will educate listeners about what happened here -- almost as though they were there to have experienced it for themselves.
